Photography, Personal website, Salt Lake City, Mormon, traveling

This statue picture was captured when I was visiting Salt Lake City, Utah in August 2003. The angel statue was standing on the top of the Mormon Church at the Temple Square.

When I first saw it from this angle, I was so stunned by the moon that was, literally, standing behind this statue. The evening crystal clear blue sky contrasts with the golden angel who is blowing a horn at the top of the church. I wasted no time; I grabbed my buddy camera and shot this spectacular picture.

Whenever, I look at this picture, I feel like it represents the triumph of happiness over grief. I call this picture- The Victory of Happiness

JOURNALS

My writing or so-called “journal” is one way I use to express my thoughts and emotions. I believe that there are several moments that we could not tell someone about our feelings or stories. Journals or poems become a tool to deliver those moments or stories, at least, for me.

My journals are written from different occasions depending upon moments of my life that is, sometimes, miserable, delighted, desperate and hopeful. Life is not always merciful but we have to try to find the way to enjoy it. One moment, we can be amazingly happy; however, just the next moment after, we can be terribly bitter. As an human being, I posses all of those fluctuated feeling realms; therefore, you will find my journals either being very stressful, desperate, hopeful or enlightening.Nevertheless, some of my journals might not directly come from my life but they are written from seeing or experiencing from other people’s life and they had touched my heart. For instance, the September 11 poem was written because I was touched by the grief of people who lost their beloved one or the Children poem, I was so touched while I was strolling in the park and saw a very adorable girl teasing her parents.

Since English is not my native language, you might find some mistakes here and there in my journals or poems. However, please try to catch the message that I am trying to deliver and you might find some beauty or meaning inside it beyond my English ability.
